Meet the

FOUNDERS

ALC Antiques & Jewelry’s passion is to rediscover items that may have been forgotten, uncover their history and transition their existence from this generation to the next. We are grateful and look forward to every new experience we share with the people we encounter on our journey of never ending discoveries.

William T. Morris

For over two decades, William Morris has dedicated his life to the study and preservation of antiques—a passion rooted in his upbringing within one of Victoria’s long-standing families of antique dealers. Descended from early settlers of Sooke, his family helped shape the region’s antique trade through the 1970s and 80s, buying and selling across Canada and the United States. What began as a childhood fascination has evolved into a distinguished career marked by expertise, integrity, and deep respect for history.

A certified appraiser of personal property and co-founder of the Victoria Roadshow, William has earned credentials from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, the Asheford Institute of Antiques, and the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group, and is a member of the International Gemological Society and International Society of Appraisers. His specialties span Asian and Indigenous art, fine jewelry, silverware, and general antiques—each piece approached with the same reverence and curiosity that first sparked his lifelong devotion to the past.

Kayla R. Botelho

As assistant specialist and co-founder of ALC Antiques & Jewelry, Kayla Botelho brings a strong academic foundation and professional discipline to the world of understanding appraisals and fine antiques. Having completed her certification through the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Kayla upholds the highest standards of ethics and accuracy in her approach to every evaluation. Her professional background encompasses the coordination of estate and private collections, client relations, and the detailed management of documentation and research integral to each project.

As co-founder of the Victoria Roadshow, she has developed one of Vancouver Island’s most trusted platforms for public outreach and education in antiques and jewelry. Kayla’s approach reflects a deep respect for the traditions in the antique community—balancing historical insight with precision, organization, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of her practice.
